I'm Garrett Downing, and I'm joined here by the Hall of Famer, Clifton Brown,

who's stepping in for Ryan McHick this week.

And Cliff are a couple days removed now from the Super Bowl,

and the NFL world is all talking about what Mike McDonald and the Seattle Seahawks

were able to do

and taking down the Patriots and to hoist that Lombardi Trophy.

So let's just start there.

We got a number of things to get to in today's episode, but I want to start with the Super Bowl.

When you watch that game, when you saw what Seattle was able to do, what were the first

thoughts that you had as you watched that all unfold?

Dominant defense, which I'm sure a lot of people were thinking as they watched that game play out.

I mean, it looked like we might have seen the first, had a chance to see the first shutout in

Super Bowl history until the Patriots finally got on

the board late in the game, you just got the feeling that the Seahawks were in control that

game because of their defense and that the Patriots didn't have any answers. And so we all

love offense, or at least most of us in high-scoring games, offense is sexy, but that Seahawks defense and that Seahawks team won in Super Bowl on the strength of their defense.

Yeah, look, I think there's a lot of people in this building that have a ton of respect from Mike McDonald, myself included.

I think that he's a great coach, great guy, and I'm happy for him. Like, he's somebody that

he made an impact here, no doubt. I think that a lot of people felt like when he left, he's

going to be good. He's going to be successful. He's smart. He's engaging. He's innovative. And so

seeing the type of success that they've had, I don't think is necessarily a
