Welcome to the Wolves and Sheep podcast. I'm Roberta Glass, and today I'm going to be talking to you about how cereal will-free Adnan Syed.

So before I get started, I just want to thank William Ramsey for having me on his

podcast. I will pin the link to that interview in the description. It was great fun to talk

to him about Jean-Vinay Ramsey, the West Memphis 3, and of course,

the subject of today's podcast serial. So for those of you who are interested in the West

Memphis 3, William Ramsey has written a fantastic book called Abomination

about the trial of West Memphis 3 that quite footnoted with the evidence against them.

And he also puts in about five, maybe there's less, many examples of satanically motivated crimes. I'm right now

reading the landing report by the FBI, which argues that there have been no satanically

motivated crimes, but there are many examples in that book, Abomination by William Ramsey,

so check it out. And on a personal note, I really admire

the way that he has stuck to having such an unpopular opinion about the West Memphis

3 when he did not have much company. He really was very level-headed and kept his cool under a lot of harassment by supporters.

So I really admire him in that way. So check it out. So I started out this podcast talking about how PR affects murder cases and I guess it really

wasn't what I went back and I just erased it because it really wasn't what I wanted to say

or it wasn't my biggest reaction to the fact that Adnan Syed has received by the state of appeals

a new trial. And my initial reaction was, I guess, the only time, nobody cares about murdered

women. That was my original reaction.

The only time that children and women are first is on the Titanic.

And the rest of the time, really no one gives a good S about them.

So that was my reaction.
