Summary

On the latest Move the Sticks podcast, Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks recap the 2025 NFL Draft and highlight why the pre-draft process plays such a critical role in shaping where players are selected, especially quarterbacks. The guys then dive into a round of player comps, drawing connections between this year’s draft picks and players their coaches or GMs have worked with before. Finally, they break down some of the top defensive tackles and edge rushers taken and debate which prospects offer the best value and fit for their new teams.

Guaranteed Human. And now, Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. What's up, everybody? Welcome to Move the Sticks. DJ Buck with you. Buck, how you doing, man? I'm good, DJ. It's the first time that you and I've gotten together since the draft and all the chaos. I got to commend you on the job that you did.

0:22.3

I didn't get a chance to see it or hear it because we were working simultaneously.

0:27.0

But the feedback that I got and the advice that you gave to one Shradur Sanders was much needed.

0:34.2

Evidently, after all the conversations post-draft that I heard.

0:37.9

Well, I appreciate that. And congrats to you. And I heard I got some of the number reports

0:43.3

for all the stuff you guys were doing. It was like crazy growth, man. So it's fun to see

0:48.1

all the different ways we can kind of communicate with the masses during the draft. And to see

0:53.5

just the entire thing just continue to grow and build is pretty cool.

0:58.0

So I'm excited to catch up with you.

1:00.6

I've got one of the things I wanted to hit on, and we'll get to it in just a minute.

1:03.5

But I wanted to hit on how, and we've seen this before, how your relationship and history with players at previous stops or years past in your organization informs your decisions on the guys you draft because you think you've coached this type of player before. And so I got a list of players that I want to get your thoughts on. But we're going to get to that in just a minute. But first of all, it's time for hot or not brought to you by Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage.

1:28.8

So, I mean, look, we'll start there. We don't need to spend a ton of time on it. Everybody's said their piece. We've both had a chance to say our thoughts on it. But the more time removed from the, from the Shadur thing, the draft thing, my biggest Takeaway Buck might be, this will will probably be you know we talk about

1:47.2

teaching tape or what have you but this is this is probably a reason why agents matter you

1:53.9

know why why you could say if you were an agent I would I would use this as a you know as a

1:59.8

example of why you should hire an agent. And there's a

2:02.9

reason why Buck, that these training facilities make so much money where they bring these

2:07.9

kids in. It's not just to teach them how to run a three cone. Like, I think it's to kind of help

2:11.5

you guide you through the process because I think that was where things kind of fell off track.

2:15.7

That's how I looked at it.

2:22.6

Okay. So before we talk about Shadur, I want to use Jackson Dart as the example. And the reason why I want to use Jackson Dart as the example is during Super Bowl, we had an opportunity

2:27.4

in the viewing room Jackson Dart and his dad came through. Jackson Dart was sitting up beside us.
