Welcome to Bonjina Report Early Edition, and today I am joined by Professor Rachel Fulton Brown, my former professor at the University of Chicago.

Professor Fulham Brown is an associate professor of medieval history at the University of Chicago. Professor Fulham Brown is an associate professor

of medieval history at the University of Chicago. She has a particular focus on Christianity in the

Latin West. Her research is incredible. It delves into medieval devotion, liturgy, the role of the Virgin

Mary, and she explores all these elements shaped by

the medieval worldview. She's authored several very influential works, including from judgment to

passion, devotion to Christ and the Virgin Mary, plus Mary in the art of prayer, the hours of the

virgin in medieval Christian life and thought. Professor Bolton Brown is also a prolific poet.

I took one of her poetry classes, and she has authored with a group of poets,

part of the Dragon Common Room, a book called Draco Alchemicus,

a fantasy poet narrative that explores the battle between virtue and vice.

She is the host of Mosaic Ark, an incredible show that

live streams on Fridays, Friday nights on YouTube. And we also cannot forget her substack,

Fencing Bear at Prayer, which we're going to cover a lot more deeply today. But with that,
