1:34.0 | They gave him brain fog and he wanted to remain lucid. |
1:38.0 | What he really wanted was a different kind of medication. |
1:42.0 | He wanted a doctor to be able to prescribe him life-ending drugs so that he could die at home, in peace and on his terms. |
1:52.0 | But Tom lived in Nevada. A state where medical aid and dying is not yet legal. |
1:58.0 | I felt very helpless, very frustrated in a lot of ways. |
2:02.0 | I even researched other states to see if I could get some medical assistance. |
