Hello and welcome to Unlock the Bible now. I'm Brother Scott Mitchell. Very happy you could join us

for another message out of God's word. Today we're going to talk

about the Spirit's calling. First, I want to thank all of you that support us. We appreciate your prayers.

We appreciate the donations and the subscriptions to Bible Mysteries Podcast. And we thank you because

that is what allows us to continue to put out this content, and hopefully it's a great

blessing to you. So before we dive in, I'll ask you to join me for a word of prayer. Heavenly Father,

we thank thee for mercy. We thank thee for your love and extended grace to us through Jesus Christ,

our Savior. We praise you for his shed blood that you offered him up to be the perfect

sacrifice for our sins. And we thank you that He's raised again as proof that we now have

eternal life through Him. We ask that everything we do and say would bring glory and honor to

thee and to the Lord Jesus. And we ask your Spirit to guide us into all understanding, teaching us those things you would have us learn.

We pray all this in his name. Amen.

So the Spirit's calling.

There are believers who often say God told me this or the Holy Spirit told me that.

We sometimes get the impression that God is audibly speaking to them or

the Spirit is talking to them personally. I've never had such an experience, though the Bible has

examples of many who did speak with God directly. One thing I'm sure of is that we hear God's

voice today through God's word. He will not violate

his word. He will not reveal that which is not in the scriptures. So let's try the spirits

and see today how the spirit beckons us. We'll start with this foundational truth found in Psalm 138 verse 2.

David writes, I will worship toward thy holy temple and praise thy name for thy loving kindness

and for thy truth, for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
