Summary

We look today at the gifts of teaching, exhortation, giving, mercy, leading and serving. To get a more biblical philosophy of the church. To understand how the gifts of the Spirit are to operate in a local fellowship of Christians. What astounds me as we look into Romans 12 is the universality of the gifts of the Spirit and the call to all of us to do our part in a godly way. This means that many believers today should probably be more involved in using these gifts than they already are. The pastor isn’t the only gifted person in the church! You too have gifts and a calling to use them! https://www.facebook.com/MikeWingerBibleThinker/ https://twitter.com/MikeWingerii http://www.hosannachapel.org/ http://biblethinker.tv/

gifts to help the believers in your life because you should be and I don't say this by way of heaping guilt upon you.

0:55.7

I say it rather by creating hopefully an expectation of what's normal as a Christian

1:01.2

biblically is that I just naturally use my gifts to serve the body.

1:06.9

1:14.4

Specifically, what are they?

1:15.6

Kind of unpack the ideas a little bit, help you identify if you have, either

1:18.9

occasionally or regularly have some of these gifts.

1:21.3

But let me give you an analogy first that I think will help

1:23.4

set the stage for us now some of you guys are into sports so forgive me if I do this

1:28.7

sports analogy wrong but if you were the coach of a team let's say that you were coaching a team, you would probably try, I imagine, to maximize the usefulness of the individuals of your team by putting them in positions that did two things.

1:43.0

One, you want the position to match their skill and ability.

1:46.2

If they're fast, they'll be in a certain position.
