Oh my gosh, welcome back to Behind the Bastards, a podcast where your host, Robert Evans, hasn't slept in two days.

I mean, I slept a little bit.

I fell asleep last night at like 2 a.m.

And then around 4, I woke bolt upright, like suddenly perfectly awake.

And with just feeling in my bones that some news had happened.

And for, you know, the record, folks, we're recording this on September 12th.

So just a couple of days after Charlie Kirk's assassination.

And I just woke up with the feeling that something had happened.

So I checked my phone and the authorities announced that they'd taken someone into custody

and they announced his name.

So from that point, I spend the rest of the night finding the shooter's family on the

internet and going through all of their social media and doing the thing that I do because

this is both what made my career and also something that's

permanently damaged my brain.

So like about a dozen friends of mine, whenever there's a weird shooting like this, I wind

up digging into some internet poisoned young man's life for several hours, which I did.

And I found some useful news and published it, posted it and stuff,

put it out, got it out there.

So now I'm, I'm, the term we used to use when I was a kid was cracked out.
