I saw them get sacrificed by the NBA to ancient basketball deities at Jason Tatum's return game on national television. Oh, the tough one. It's tough one. We'll talk about

the fourth quarter that collapsed and what it means for the Mavericks. We'll talk about

Clay Thompson. I thought had another, another good gamer. He was just launching some threes that was fun to watch. We'll talk about Max Christie. We'll talk about Musa Cisei had a couple of moments. Talk about all those things. Well, let's start here slightly biased. Cooper flag plays in this game and gave me a scare. gave me one of those scares that I just I don't

want to have anymore I don't want to we've done it too many times the Mavs have lost too many

players to these types of situations where Cooper flag plays in second out of a back to back after

missing eight games with the foot injury and we were a little worried we're like all right well

is he going to play he's going to play he-to-back? Is he not going to play?

He ends up playing.

He's absolutely going to play.

This game met too much to him.

It was too special to him to play in Boston in the TD Garden. He said the only arena that I ever went to growing up was TD Garden. He idolized Jason Tatum growing up, which is hilarious to say. but he was going to play in this game.

He had too many family members there in that suite there in TD Garden.

in that suite there in TD Garden. And we absolutely expected Cooperifying to play in this game like

he just said. But then he gets hurt at 834 with like three minutes into the game. He goes down

holding his foot and we're all, I'm holding my breath as he limps to the bench. The Mavs call a timeout. But then he stays in the game, hits two free throws, plays the rest of the game basically, plays 30 minutes, plays more than his minute restriction was yesterday in the first night of a back-to-back. He plays longer the second night of a back-to-back. I don't know what that means, but Cooper Flag ends up playing the rest of this

game, and he just can't do it all. He was doing a lot in this game. It's admirable how much he was trying to do. And I think it was awesome how much the team looks like they kind of like fall in line role-wise when Cooper Flag plays. It's like, all right, you have the one guy, you have the big dog. Now everybody else falls in line. Now, Chris Middleton isn't like your number one option sometimes.

Now, Max Christie can be flying around, you know, getting, getting threes off to the side. You have PJ Washington. He's like, I'm just going to clean up anything that I can get to. And so everything kind of made sense around him, but just nobody could carry the slack. Like, nobody else could the slack. And I mean, he was a minus 17.

So it's not like when he was in.

The Mavs were world killers. But in the fourth quarter, they just ran out of options is what really happened. Yeah, I mean, if we're going to talk about the game, we have to be fair. I don't think you can just throw guys out of the bus. Like Coop, when he was on the floor, had the ball all the time and just was not good tonight. Miss shots
