Summary

Less Work, More Play or how to work less and enjoy more as a teacher

Once upon a time, the phrase, "Less work, more play," would have sounded like a fantastical claim. It sounds like the kind of thing – had someone said it to me – that I'd have internally rolled my eyes at. I come from a blue collar family, afterall. When I was young, my daddy worked 80 hours most weeks in a pressed white shirt, board straight tie, and his one nice coat. Most mornings, he was gone before the sun came up. Most nights, he was home just in time for dinner. And each evening, I'd watch him polish his shoes to get ready for the next day. I was taught that, "The more I work, the more money I make." But, friend, I've come to see that you can't attract multiple streams of income with this sort of thinking. Instead, I'd like you to learn how to earnĀ moreĀ income while working even less. Is it impossible for you to believe that you might create a life with less work and more play? Then read on!

A new mindset to work smarter not harder

On today's podcast episode, I'm going to help you set out on a mission to attract anything you want in your life. And before you assume that this is going to be another podcast on manifesting – I say that word because it is so hot in today's terminology and it has so many loaded meanings – I'm here to tell you that this is a podcast on attracting income and fixing your mindset from, "the harder I work, the more money I make," to "the less I work, the more I make." I'm going to share with you ten secrets that took me years to discover. I want to give you 10 ways you can attract more income with less work and more play right now! Meaning, you can, as James Wedmore once said, "work less and make more." Ready to change your mind and learn how? Then press play on this episode…

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How letting go of lack is the first step to less work, more play
  • Why working smarter not harder begins when you rewire your daily focus toward abundance
  • Why setting a daily intention is necessary to do less work, make more money
  • Why removing toxicity is how to earn more income
  • Why going all in with a person who inspires you will lead to less work, more play
  • Why developing your passion may help you learn how to earn more money and attract the things that you want

Hello, CEO teachers. Welcome back to the CEO Teacher podcast. So very blessed to be here today. And I feel like it is a new

0:09.9

beginning. I live for total teacher transformations. And for some reason, I'm showing up here today because

0:16.3

I feel like it's a new beginning. Maybe for you, maybe for someone in your family, for me,

0:21.4

something just feels right about this new air that we breathe and the new opportunities that

0:26.3

are here for teachers. And I want to start, you know I am, with a quote,

0:30.7

the less I work, the more I make. I heard James Wedmore say that at a Khadjabi conference on

0:37.0

stage, and I'll admit admit I kind of looked around at

0:39.6

the audience to see if people agreed with this statement while I internally rolled my eyes.

0:45.3

I came from a lower class blue collar family. My daddy worked 80 hours most weeks in a pressed

0:51.5

white shirt, bored straight tie, one nice coat, and I watched him polish his

0:57.0

shoes every single night when he walked into the door as my mom cooked dinner. And we watched Will

1:01.9

of Fortune and in Jeopardy. He was gone before the sun came up and he was home just in time for

1:07.6

dinner every night. Some days he was soaked head to toe from sweat as he walked

1:12.4

door to door selling life insurance while other days he was so stressed that he didn't say a word

1:17.4

at dinner because he was managing a large office full of employees. Either way, it was instilled in my

1:23.4

belief system since I was a little girl. The more I work, the more money I make. My mom had wanted

1:30.3

to be a stay-at-home mom her entire life. She often referred to it as her dream job. Me on the other

1:36.2

hand, I love all my kids. Goodness, I love them, but a stay-at-home mom is not my life's work.

1:42.5

I am a better mama because I work, but I say that word lightly these

1:46.7

days because I work. Do what you love and call it work. That's the secret to life. So how can you

1:55.1

attract multiple streams of income with the idea of less work and more play. How can you have time with your kids,

2:03.7

with your animals, with nature, with someone that you love, heck, even have time alone to nurture
