| 1:47.0 | Alright, first, let's discuss each of your backgrounds and how it is that you came to write this paper with a Ethereum creator of Vitalik Booterin on Soulbound Tokens. Glenn, why don't we start with you? |
| 2:00.0 | So I have a background as an economist. |
| 2:03.0 | I was a professor at the University of Chicago for a few years, and then I ended up at Microsoft mostly for personal reasons. |
| 2:11.0 | I was developing a lot of sort of radical ideas about how to reimagine our politics and economy. |
| 2:17.0 | And in 2016, when a lot of the populist waves started to happen in mainstream politics, I decided to write a book called Radical Markets that put those things together jointly with Eric Posner into sort of a vision of addressing some of the big picture problems in the world. |
| 2:34.0 | And I was not all involved in what was then called the blockchain space, but in fact, it was quite skeptical of what little I knew about it. |
| 2:42.0 | But the book ended up not being a particularly great mainstream success, but found an audience within the blockchain world. |
