Hello and welcome to Not Another One, the podcast with me, Steve Richards, Ian Martin, Miranda Green and Tim Montgomery.

Tim isn't here this week, but we are, and we are going to be exploring a very

rich theme. First podcast this week, and if you haven't listened, please do, looked at the

politics and the detail of the welfare announcement from the government earlier in the week.

And at the end, Miranda pointed out that there will be tensions

within the Labour Party, and we were exploring how they might be dealt with by Number 10 and others.

And that leads to the theme we're going to be discussing in a moment. How do leaders deal with

divided parties? It's a very rich question because there are so many different

approaches to this. And we'll look at Stama, obviously, but go back a bit. Before then,

just thanks so much for tuning in. We're not owned by anyone. We do this ourselves. So we

one. Now, we left part one, so to speak, Miranda, on a kind of cliff edge, with you rightly, in

my view, detecting sometimes a swagger in number 10 when they have, you know,

either a soft left minister resigns or whatever, as if in a way it's a form of vindication.
