Have you ever experienced the overruling of God's hand in your life?

When you have completely blown it, you know what that means?

All by your little self.

Nobody helped you.

And then you are sitting on a pile of mess, and you have no one to blame but yourself.

You rushed and made wrong decision. You rushed and you made the wrong choices. You rushed

and did not ask God in prayer. You did not

seek his mind, his will. You went against clear biblical directives, which you know on and on and on and on.

But then to your utter amazement and surprise, God overruled and delivered you. God overruled and saved

you. God overruled and protected you. In response to you, crying out to God, I said, Lord, I confess,

I will not do that again, please intervene.

And God does bring good out of what is purely wrong choice and bad situation.

Now I'm saying this because I know what that feels like.

I have seen it not only in my own life, a life of many others. It is not an exaggeration

that when that happens, we cry out to God, oh God, I learned my lesson. Oh, Lord, I will not do

that again. Oh, Lord, forgive my foolishness. I will never commit that foolishness again. Here's the truth.

Most of us, in time, forget, and we repeat the same thing. And God has to teach us the same

lesson over and over and over again.

But I was thinking about failure to learn from one's mistakes and sin and disobedience,

and I thought about those two guys who absolutely loved hunting for elk.

I mean, they loved flying into the Canadian woods and hunting for elk. I mean, they loved flying into the Canadian woods and hunting for elk.

On this particular time, when they went and they actually bagged six elks, six big ones.
