This is wretched radio, landing the plane. It requires adjustments, variances, the topography, the

weather, the length of the runway. A good pilot needs to understand all of those factors in order to land a plane on time.

What does that have to do with preaching? Actually, a lot.

Getting to the runway. a lot.

Getting to the runway and stopping the flight sometimes is something that a lot of pastors struggle with. They just don't know how to land the plane. It could be their

organizational system, it could be their preparation, it could be practice, but a big part of preaching is no one when to bring her down, and so it is on Sunday.

I'm preaching, Matthew 13, on the wheat and the tears the good fish and the rotten fish and I'm looking at the

clock and I'm going you gotta bring this plane in for a landing freel and so what do you do as a preacher who wants to respect people's time

and actually do what you promise to do to start at this time and be done at that time, which I do believe is merely a courtesy.

I understand some pastors could argue, hey you go as long as it needs to go.
