We don't meet boys when we travel. You know, really, though, I don't think that's fair.

We kind of wanted to start out asking you how you even got into hosting or traveling just in general.

Were you interested in traveling as a kid? Is it something that pushed

you towards hosting a travel show? Because you've been doing this for a while. 20 years.

And it's before your time, girls. But for a lot of different shows. And I think a lot of people

know you from Travel Channel or from Places to Love. but there were a lot of shows before that as well.

So how did you get started? I actually had no interest in travel. I grew up in New Hampshire. We went

to Pennsylvania and maybe Canada. I certainly loved the idea of it, but never thought it would

be my life. I went to school for musical theater, and I came to New York City to pursue that, that career. So that means I waited on tables

for eight years. And I was a very good waitress. I'm at any time I have those skills and I could

fall back on that. But I went for an audition that I actually submitted myself for. And it was for

a commercial. And I got the commercial. And then the writer of the commercial actually recommended me
