Summary

On Monday, a Russian journalist interrupted a live broadcast of Russia’s state TV Channel One with an anti-war message that read, “Stop the war. Don’t believe the propaganda. They are lying to you here.” As free media organizations across the globe continue to report on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian state-controlled media has obscured the truth and reality of the war for many of its citizens. Former Russian news anchor, Anna Kultin joins to discuss her experience working at a Russian state-controlled TV network, how the misinformation blurs the truth for Russian citizens, and how the Kremlin is portraying the invasion of Ukraine. Despite the historic 6.6 million jobs added to the market in his first year, President Biden has been struggling to win over the approval of American citizens, who have been coping with rising gas prices and anxiety over the crisis in Ukraine. Recent polls have even shown Americans are doubtful that the current president will run again in 2024, fueling speculation if he will bow out and who would replace him on the ticket. Tom Bevan is the co-founder and president of Real Clear Politics. He joins the rundown to discuss what issues concern voters the most, how Ukraine could impact midterms, and whether we'll be seeing a rematch between President Biden and former President Trump in 2024. Plus, commentary by Gordon Chang, author of "The Coming Collapse of China." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
