Well, if you were to me, Quavadas or Q, Marshall, today, you would never guess that he once lived a dangerous life

and a gang with seemingly little hope for the future.

But when he was 19, Q was convicted of armed robbery, sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He left behind his girlfriend Angela and their two-year-old child, Cayley.

Today, Q pastors one of the fastest growing churches in Iowa.

When he was behind bars, Q joined a prison fellowship program, a decision that ended up changing

everything for him.

There he recommitted his life to Christ and he found an alternative to the kind of

non-trusting survive at all-cost way of life that he had long embraced.

Prison Fellowship encouraged Kew and the other men in that program to live in authentic community.

Together, as the church behind bars, they encounter Jesus.

They studied the Bible.

They were changed.

Founded back by Chuck Coulson after serving his own time in prison,

Prison Fellowship is an incredible example of what can happen when the church

is the church, even behind bars.

As it was with Q and his family during his time in prison,

prison fellowship has been a transformative force

for thousands of others.
