Jeff says, how prevalent is negative recruiting? Do recruits buy into that type of salesmanship? Are recruits wanting to hear more about what that coach in front of them can do for them? Or are they more interested in listening to someone bash another program? Finally, if this type of negative recruiting takes place, what things are typically said? Jeff, it is pretty common, but there is a vast dichotomy between programs.

Some of them don't do it at all. Some of them do it heavily.

And then there are shades of gray.

The most common form, and I was talking to a head coach about this a few days ago,

the most common form is the falsified depth chart.
