Are you not satisfied when you read the Bible?

Do you not have delight and joy when you read the Bible?

Ask for it.

Plead for it.

Plead for it without ceasing.

Satisfy me, O God, with your truth, with your love, with your glory, with the wonderful things that you're revealing to me.

Do not leave me without satisfaction.

I won't let you go like Jacob until you bless me with the delight of Psalm 1, 2,

so that I love to memorize and love to meditate and become like a tree planted by streams of water that bears fruit.

One of the questions I asked myself as I listen to this message is how quickly do I cry out to God to satisfy me with His word, with his love, with his glory, when I feel spiritually flat.

We should really want that to be our immediate instinct, shouldn't we?
