Good morning, Socios. Three things to say from here in Munich.

And the first one is, is with a very heavy heart.

And even though I won't dwell on it too long, it's extraordinary that there was a death at the stadium last night for the final of the Nations League.

It's extraordinary that it should have happened

while a crew from Denmark were working away on the game

and somebody fell from the ring of the Tribune above them

and died.

And therefore, in whatever circumstances that happened,

you pause and think about those who've lost somebody,

but still more poignantly, I think,

you pause and think about people sitting sitting doing their work at a tense,

interesting game of football and somebody crashes down and dies at their feet.

So I apologize for having to begin this way, but I don't think that my usual tone or what I usually talk about

would have been appropriate without saying that this is recorded with an extremely heavy heart.

And I haven't looked to see what the international coverage of this is now at 3 o'clock Bavarian time in the morning.

And therefore, I do hope I haven't misspoken or misstepped.

When we were still at the stadium at about quarter to two this morning,

the cops came in and really could brief us very little indeed about what had happened or who this

man, I think, in his mid-30s really was and what the aspects of the fatal accident were.

So having said that, it patently does. It's not a cliche that that puts everything in deep, deep, deep context.
