0:24.3	Tennessee's special session, but I don't think we are. First of all, I'd like to apologize for not

1:07.2	underlying issues, stuff that came up in the special session and either it wasn't
1:12.1	germane to the main issue of gun control or it was just really complicated to try to talk about.
1:17.4	And I want to just get a little bit deeper in there. Also, this involved nuance. And whenever there's
1:22.0	an issue that involved a lot of nuance, I think to myself, this is a topic for the T-Rex podcast listeners, not necessarily the T-Rex
1:31.0	Instagramers and the T-Rex YouTubers and certainly not for the T-Rex Twitter folk.
1:36.0	These ideas are too complicated for Twitter, which means they're going to come up a lot.
1:41.2	So if you have watched the YouTube video from yesterday, you probably know that I had lots of clips of people talking about how democracy is dead in Tennessee.
1:52.6	We've been hearing a lot about democratic backsliding and autocracy in America.
1:56.6	If you want to get a real idea of what that looks like, take a look at what's happening in Tennessee.
2:00.9	In Tennessee, they are moving toward full-on fascism, the Republicans in that state.
2:06.3	Today was a signal that we have lost democracy in Tennessee and that we are on the path toward authoritarianism.
2:12.8	It's the voice of democracy getting slaughtered.
