It is the first post-game Buckeye Talk of the 2020 season. We're calling this Monday Madness for those of you

who've been following my column I'm Nathan Baird from Cleveland.com by the way

this is going to be the the podcast that kind of accompanies that what has now become a weekly staple for us at Cleveland.com.

Doug, I kind of a, I feel for you a little bit, you obviously have a very busy weekend, but did you feel like the Browns game today and kind of the last minute

insanity? Does it balance out the lack of drama that you got from the Buckeyes on

Saturday? Yeah, I mean I actually love,. It's a crazy weekend, but I love doing Ohio State on Saturday and the Browns on Sunday and I even tried last year I wanted to like write a column every Monday that kind of linked the two because I know there's a lot of people out there who care about both. But it did. It's a reminder to me. I mean, typically I am more optimistic about the Browns than most people and more pessimistic about Ohio State than most people which I guess just means I'm a cranky old

Contrarian which is fine but yes it was I don't know if I could live in a world where like every Ohio State game, you know, 11 times a year came down to like a last second pass.

But I will say for people who do care about the Browns and Ohio State, the way Baker Mayfield played in the second half, especially late in the game on Sunday,

reminded me so much of how J.T. Barrett played in the Penn State comeback in 2017.

And I just think they're so similar as quarterbacks who hesitate are reluctant to let things

rip sometimes and then when their backs are against the wall they actually play better.

And I've said that a million times and I thought this was another example of it and it reminded me of 2017 Penn State so much.

Sounds like a post. Have you already written that post like in the past? Have you made that comparison before?

I have I have had some real trouble lately with writing things and in the

being in the midst of writing them and saying I have written this before and I'm

remembering it I hope the readers aren't remembering it because this is a repeat so I don't know and I'm also at the point where I talk so much now I don't know when I talk something and when I write something so I'll probably have to go back and search in the system. I think I have written it, but if I haven't, I'll probably write it for Monday.
