this week on the nerd cast we are taking a break from our usual routine to take a look at something I've been really

interested in over the past few months,

actually going back almost a year, presidential pardons.

And that's going to be the subject of this week's special Thanksgiving

episode of the nerd cast.

With respect to Chelsea Manning, I looked at the particulars of this case. of the

part word of the nard cast.

The pardon is one of the most absolute powers a pardon

is one of the most absolute powers a president has.

They really can just say the word,

and criminal convictions are wiped out

like they never happened.

And by these presidents do grant a full free and absolute pardon onto Richard Nixon.

Now obviously a lot more than just saying the word goes into presidential pardons.

Did the pardon of Sheriff Joseph Arpeo go through the pardon attorney office?

Usually at least most of them.

I don't believe it did.

And that's part of the reason that President Donald Trump's pardons have gotten so much

attention.

Some have been more controversial than others,

but they're really, they're all so fascinating to me.
