Well, I am sitting here with my friend Margaret Collins, who is the author of God is Good.

And Margaret, you have one of the most fascinating

testimonies that I've heard. And I know that as you share this, there are going to be many

who listen and they're going to be encouraged to know that God is a good God, that God is for them,

and they'll also be encouraged in those times of suffering, in those times of questioning,

that the miracle is on the way. Let's go back to the beginning. Start with your childhood,

your background. Take us there now, the beginning of the story. Well, I was born in the most tumultuous

time in China, where China was under the merciless

bombing of Japanese, and of the second day on my birth, my mother and I were taking from a

stretcher onto the bombing shelter. So that was a situation that I was born.

And milk was very lacking,

so I was a little malnutrition.

But other than that, my parents loved me,

and I was the only child for eight years.

So during this time,

do you have memories of growing up in this tumultuous

surrounding? What would that be? How would that differ from maybe someone growing up in the United

States or growing up in a country that's not experiencing something? Well, I don't have any toys

because there's no money. I do not have any storybooks.

My mother every night and my father would tell me from the day I was born for what I was like.
