Welcome back to Buckeye Talk. I am Stephen Means, and that is Stefan Krichnik. We are three months away from Ohio State opening up. It's 2026 regular season. And we're going to start doing some stuff over the next couple of months here as we count down today's two big 10 media days later this summer.

Just kind of an early sneak preview at Ohio State's 2026 schedule.

We're going to be breaking down every week team by team.

But we're not going to do it like from a football standpoint because I think I want to save that for when we're actually in the season.

I want to make these conversations constantly like a big picture idea about what we want to learn and like what this means. And so obviously this is a good year to do that because there's a lot of games where I feel like there's a lot of big time narratives that are learning to be around games. There will also be some games where it's just like, I don't know, they're playing this team. Actually, no. Because even the, even the Northwestern game,

there was like a thing now because like Brian's football dad and his actual son are now associated

with the Wildcats. So every week we're going to try to do that. Just be me and Stefan. I think right now

over the next month, there's only going to be one pod that you hear where it's going to be all of three of us on that pod and that will typically be our bigger pots and things we've got coming down the pipeline. We're starting an audio series next week called Buckeye Lour, where we're discussing the biggest moments in Ohio State history that have led it to where it is today. That will start on Monday. We'll be starting with the Chick-Harley story,

which I thought was very interesting. It was good for me to do those because it's just like a walk down memory lane and really learning a lot about the team you cover. We'll have recruiting stuff coming up obviously with official visits around the corner and the camps around the corner. And so this will be the football side of things. And we'll have one part of week where it's all three of us maybe doing a bigger topic every single week. We start today with we don't have 12 weeks to work with. So we are going to be combining them when it seems fit. And so today is mid-American conference day, which we've been doing a lot of this week, Stefan. I don't know. Is this the most action that you've ever done as a professional reporter? I think so, right? There's been times

where, you know, when I was at Mississippi State, they had a game against Bowling Green once.

There might have been another non-conference game in there. I know when I left is when they

So I've I've had my run-ins in terms of, you know, talking a little Macion, but I would say these past two weeks are the most consistent Mac production that I've produced.

wrong with it. I think from Ohio State perspective, this will maybe be one of the kind of like more important pods, I think, that we can do as it pertains to these two games, right? Because when we get to the season and these games roll around, like the point spreads are going to be large, it's just going to be a matter of, you know, getting there and getting out healthy, right?
