right back to the phones and say hi to roger you're on the end of the hood show roger what can we do

for you i'm a throwback because I'm so old. My daily driver is a 1985 Chrysler 5th Avenue, 318,

and it has something in the air cleaner called electronic fuel control, which I believe is a primitive computer control. I've noticed that

the distributor does not have a vacuum advance, for instance, and the carburetor has a couple

of electronic modules on it. My question, in short, is,

would it be possible to roll back to a non-electronic controlled carburetor

and then maybe put on something along the lines of a pertronics

electronic distributor with vacuum advance

and electronic ignition, in case that computer should go out, eliminate it from the mix.

We're both sitting at each other for which route we're going to take on the answer for us but I'm familiar with that card it's yeah it's a it's a it's a control spark controls fuel you certainly can it's possible to yank the distributor out and take the carburetor off and put a put a holly four barrel on there and a plain old distributor electronic ignition Chrysler distributor that's not computer controlled and make it work then you're back to old school and it'll it'll work just fine it's it's not those things weren't the greatest for emissions anyways and wouldn't comply with most anything,
