And we're going to read this together.

Our last scripture reading together for the year, and it's the right one.

And our message right now, we're leaving this year off with a message into the new year and notice the title, how not to survive in 2024.

Right now, all around America right now, there's all these messages about how to get rich, how to do this, how to do that, how to be that.

Listen, my goal is this, if you learn how not to survive 2024, that is a very sarcastic way to shock you into considering the quick points that we're going to look at today because these are the things that you're going to have to ignore for you to fail in

2024. But we start with this

Colosians chapter one. I'll read verse nine if you pick it up in verse 10. You guys ready?

Here we go. For this reason we also since the day we heard of it do not cease to

pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and

spiritual understanding. They may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Strengthened with all night according to his glorious power for all patients and long suffering with joy.

Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be our takers of the inheritance of the

He has delivered us from the power of darkness, thank God, and conveyed us into the kingdom of the son of his love.

In whom we have redemption through his blood with forgiveness of sins.

Father, we pray, Lord God, that as we say goodbye to this year and as we embrace the new year to come,

Father, that you would have your way and may we would learn from these unusual points,

yet they should not be.

So Father, I ask you, may we hear what the Spirit of God is saying today.

We pray in Jesus' name and all God's people said,

Amen. You may be seated. So church, as we put an end, a bow as it were around this year, and as we set our sights on the new year to come,

we're looking at this title, how not to survive in 2024. I'm being somewhat sarcastic with a point
