0:06.9	In today's episode, we are near the end of a series we've been in for a while, called
0:12.3	the Paradigm series.
0:14.2	We have been exploring what we mean when we say our Bible Project mission statement, which
0:19.9	is we want to help people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus.
0:25.0	So we've been unpacking that, what we ended up calling seven pillars of this paradigm.
0:31.4	We've been trying to recover an ancient paradigm that is faithful to the design and intention
0:38.5	of the Scriptures themselves and trying to reshape what we think they are and what we
0:43.4	should do with them in light of that.
0:45.8	And so what we're doing today is often we interview scholars or authors who are writing
0:51.5	on similar topics that we've been learning from.
0:54.1	So that's what today is.
0:55.8	We're going to interview a pastor and a professor Dan Kimble.
0:59.8	He is a pastor of a church vintage faith that he planted almost 20 years ago now, down in
1:05.4	Santa Cruz, but he's also an agent professor at Western Seminary and he has written quite
1:11.7	a few books, but he has a really neat story.
1:14.7	He has a passion and dedication to Jesus, to the Scriptures, and to really helping people
1:20.1	discover who Jesus is by learning about the Scriptures.
1:23.2	And so we're going to interview him today because he is putting out a new book that's
1:27.2	right along the topic of what we've been talking about in this series.
1:30.4	Yeah, so Dan's book is called How Not to Read the Bible and it just came out in 2020.
