for a while now, and that may be very true in many areas. But he is not the only thing casting

doubt upon America's political system. No, ordinary voters for years have been guilty of taking

ideas, myths, if you will, and believing them as facts without a shred of truth being in them.

Dr. Casey Berger is the Legislative Affairs Program Director at George Washington University,

host of Mastering the Room Podcast, and author of the new book, We Hold These Truths, How to Spot the Myths that are Holding America Back.

Excellent. Let's get straight to it, because there's a lot in this book. There's a lot of myths to

dispel. So first of all, you've teamed up with a lot of people here to get into all of this.

Could you perhaps tell me just a couple of the myths that are in this book the most relevant to

today?

Yeah, the sad part is that they're all relevant and that they all just keep coming back and

back.

And you mentioned years, I'm going to one up you and say, this has been decades that we've

been hearing a lot of these same stories.
