In 1993, Adena Friedman graduated from business school in Nashville and joined Nasdak as an intern.

Today, she is the CEO of the organization 4,000 employees, $18 billion market

cap and the first woman to lead a global stock exchange as well as the first CEO of a stock exchange to be appointed to the Board of New York's Federal Reserve.

It's great to be here. Thanks for having me.

You are leading a global company with a market capitalization of around $18 billion,

but you're also a parent of two sons and a black belt in Taekwondo,

and you have spoken about how healthy work-life balance can be achieved if you have spoken about how healthy work life balance can be achieved if you have the right

support and infrastructure.

And I'm curious in these crazy times of the pandemic, how has that infrastructure fared in the face of the current challenge?

Well, I feel very fortunate because my two sons now are in their early 20s and they are both here at home with us.

But since our children are at that age they're

actually very helpful at home and in fact they've been you know helping to
