Hey brother Ben, the Star Wars expanded universe can feel a bit daunting.

It's confusing as it is and not aided by the fact that Disney purchased Star Wars and wiped out a ton of the expanded universe, now known as

legends and has now started creating tons more.

And by more, I don't just mean the movies, I also mean TV shows and books and comics and video games, all of which count as

canon. It's a lot and to be honest oftentimes I feel just a little intimidated to even try and figure

out where to start or where to enter it.

Not that I haven't tried, once upon a time it was actually my goal to read all of the

Star Wars books, just a sort of like a background hobby. And I thought the difficulty was

going to be the time commitment, but before I even got to reading the hard part

was figuring out what that list of books even looked like.

It took some doing, but eventually, and as of this recording,

I figured out that there are presently

39 official original Star Wars novels

with three more on the way which is not only a huge time

commitment but also potentially a huge cost which got me thinking if you wanted

to enter into the Star Wars fandom today having seen nothing and wanted to consume all of the canon Star Wars content out there

How much would that cost you? Well today we have figured out that

exact thing. The amount of time and money it would take you to consume all of the

movies, TV shows, books, comics, and video games in the Star Wars

universe. Hey Brother!
