Summary
Herbal dosage is a common question amongst people on the path to becoming a practicing herbalist. Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward answer the works across the board. Some use very low doses, some use very high doses. The one thing that's clear, is that both approaches to how much of an herb to give WORKS, and gets healing results from their clients, which is the #1 most important thing.

| 0:13.0 | You know, there's always this big question amongst herbalists that are just getting started |
| 0:17.9 | or people that are just getting, moving towards that level of becoming a practicing herbalist, |

| 0:26.6 | And this is a really big question. I get this one all the time. |
| 0:30.6 | And unfortunately, there is no real straight answer to this question. |
| 0:36.6 | You know, when it comes to dosage of an herbal medicine, |
| 0:42.7 | you really have, in a way, two very different schools of thought on this subject. On the one hand, |
| 0:50.5 | you have more of what we would call low dosers. These are herbalists that tend to |
| 0:57.0 | use herbs in drop dosages and that's really kind of using herbs more from, I guess I would say, |
| 1:05.0 | more of a homeopathic orientation. This is an approach that, you know, the renowned herbalist Matthew Wood has really |
| 1:13.4 | brought onto the forefront of herbalists kind of outside of the sphere of homeopathy. |
| 1:20.1 | And really what's going on when you're using a plant in very low doses, and I'm saying like |
| 1:26.0 | one to three drops typically, is when you're |
| 1:31.1 | using a plant in that level of a dosage, you're not actually getting really like a distinct |
| 1:37.2 | biochemical effect on the body, right? When you take a drop of a tincture, you're really |

| 1:48.0 | and the vital force of the person's body and how their body is going to respond to the |
| 1:54.7 | presence of the herb. |
| 1:57.2 | And this is kind of juxtaposed to the other end of that spectrum, which is a bit more of the high dose end of things, right? |
