So mountain bike tourism seems to be a hot topic these days with a lot of different cities and towns and even states and countries getting in on the game trying to draw

mountain bike tourists to their location. So I want to start off by asking a question that

centers on mountain bikers, but why should we travel to ride our bikes when there are so many

great trails that a lot of us already have nearby? As I say, variety is the spice of life.

You know, anything can get stale if you do it for long enough.

Even the single best trail, if that's the only trail you ever ride, like that can get old pretty quickly.

I just personally love traveling and check out new trails because everywhere you go, it's just a little bit different.

The rocks are different.

The roots are different.

Maybe the climate zone you're riding in is different.

The people you're encountering are different.

I just think there's immense value to just experiencing differences both in mountain biking and in cultures across the U.S.
