Let's get into it. There are 27 days until Election Day. I had to double check that this morning.

But it is becoming increasingly clear. And Congress is going to come back shortly after

election day. I'm not convinced the election will be decided by then. And if you are a member of

Congress in a competitive state or waiting for the presidential, I think we could be waiting until

late November, December. I have no idea. I think we could be waiting until late November,

December. I have no idea. But that seems to be a commonly held theory according to people that I talk

to. A couple of things I want to note here. Number one, and this is an important point for the

House, less important for the Senate, but I'm going to mention it anyway. Right after Congress gets back, we reported this in the Midday Edition yesterday, the House is going to start talking about rules changes.

Now, the rules changes all depend on whether Republicans have taken the majority or lost the majority.

Some of them will be conference rules, but we're going to have a huge debate about that once Congress is back in session.

But now, more importantly, it's becoming increasingly clear that when Congress does get back in November,

it will be dealing with a

multi-billion dollar disaster in the Southeast and a potential major war in the Middle East.
