not allowing the bears to announce this at 5 p.m. on a holiday weekend. Dan Pompey doing a great

job is one of the greatest to ever do it with an exclusive story announcing that Ted Phillips

will retire in February. This is news that is not really surprising. It had been circulating

a little bit last year. There had been talk that maybe as the bears were making changes with the

GM and had coached that this would be a part of it. There was a small change there. We'll get

into all of that stuff. But the bears then officially announcing February. Ted Phillips is out.

The team will be under new leadership, guys. It's about time. It's about time. And I'm going to

shout out Kevin Kayduck for his tweet that he put not too long ago. His tweet says Ted Phillips

reign atop the bears span five US presidents and produce three playoff victories. That embodies

exactly why it was time for Ted Phillips to not be in his position anymore. But I told my dad

that's that right before he came to do the show. He's like, wow, that's terrible. It is. And that's

why it's time to make some change. Yeah, I mean, his role did change this season already. So he

isn't, you know, the GM doesn't report to him or anything of that nature already. So this is going

to be interesting to see if they restructure yet again, if they bring in another team president,

if this, if the GM will report to him or if it's going to stay with McCaskey, I think those are
