We have a very interesting conversation that sparked by, I guess the NBA sparked it and then R you had the idea.

How many teams are going to win the national title over the next 10 years because the NBA has had seven unique champions in seven years?

And you and I have been hammering everybody over the head with.

We think that the NIL transfer portal era is going to make things a little more even in terms of being able to win a national title in football.

So we are going to talk about all this.

I'm concerned about this because there's two parts of the discussion, Andy.

It's how many teams in totality

will win in the next 10 years and who do we think will or can. And we were discussing it

over text, the three of us yesterday. And I think the difference between who will and who can

is pretty stark. And I think that you and I probably have some disagreements about that. So I want to go through all the. See, I don't think it's that stark. Like, I don't, I don't think there's a big difference at all. I think there was a huge difference before between who can and will. See, see, I think that if you can, there's a good chance you will now. I mean, there's been a lot of...

...that can in the past that didn't even come close. Like, does Texas A&M can win a national title? Will they? Those are two very different. But I don't think you could have said they can win one in the old era. I mean, maybe you could have, but... Oh, I think that there were probably 15 programs that in the old era that had a national championship ceiling.

Like, for instance, you live in Gainesville. You're familiar with Florida. What's Florida's program ceiling?

Can they win one in the next 10 years? Absolutely. Will they a very different proposition to me?

Yeah, but it's a lot different proposition than when Alabama and Ohio State were

dominating everything and getting all the best recruits.

Like the can they is a lot easier now to translate to will they than it was before.
