Summary

There are currently seven criminal investigations related to Alex Murdaugh and we'll review the salient points in each to capture a bird's eye view of this heinous saga. The Murdaugh name appears repeatedly in police interviews during the investigation of Stephen Smith's murder, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. 0:34.4	This week, Fitznews was first to report that Eleg Murdock was denied bond for the second time.
0:40.4	After Judge Clifton Newman received Murdock psychiatric evaluation,
0:44.8	following his bond hearing on charges related to the botch glorious Sadderfield settlement,
0:50.1	Newman ruled that Eleg Murdock was a danger to both himself and others.

0:56.5	Following the initial denial of bond, the court received a psychiatric evaluation of the
1:02.0	defendant dated on October 22nd, 2021.
1:06.3	After considering the arguments of counsel, the evaluations submitted, pending charges,
1:11.1	and other investigations, and the apparent character and mental condition of the defendant,
1:16.5	the court finds the defendant is a danger to both himself and the community.
1:20.8	This was the third time in just three weeks that a South Carolina judge ruled against the
1:26.2	disgrace attorney whose father, grandfather, and great grandfather all served as a solicitor
1:32.2	of a five-county region in the low country.
1:34.6	And that is a big deal.
1:36.1	To recap, Eleg Murdock was arrested at a rehab center in Orlando, Florida,
1:44.8	in charge with two felony counts of a painting property by false pretenses related to the glorious
