Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the no-chit-chat podcast.

We'd like to get right into it, and what we're going to get into today is what you might

call, how low can Joe go?

The President's job approval ratings.

That's what we're going to be talking about today, because they're in the news.

Again, remember a few weeks ago, President Biden supporters were hoping that he would

enjoy a bounce in job approval ratings after his State of the Union address.

They scoured every new poll, looking, looking for new evidence of even a tiny uptick, and

a couple of polls appeared to show a little bit of improvement.

Maybe it was happening, and then Biden settled back down into what has become the norm for

him, the low 40% job approval range.

Now, that's until now.

Now in the last three polls in the Real Clear Politics average of polls, Biden's job approval

rating is 40%, 38%, and 35%.

Now there are some optimistic outliers.

There's one poll from the economist that shows his job approval at 46%.

So those are keeping Biden at his current Real Clear Politics average of 40.4%.

But the President's trend, again, as it did all of last year, seems downward.

Now, that has sent some Democrats into a new round of panic.

It's not hard to do that these days, they're pretty nervous.

They're fearing that a presidential job approval rating in the high 30s would surely mean

a Republican House and a Republican Senate in this November's midterm elections.
