Because on this date, a mere three years ago, White Sox were 18 games over 500.

They had a nine-and-half game lead in the AL Central on their way to a 93-win season and a division title.

But here we are three years later.

And the White Sox are on a collision course with baseball futility.

After losing again on Monday in Oakland,

they're now 61 games under 500.

They have dropped 21 games in a row.

And as manager of the White Sox,

in less than two seasons,

paid riverfall is 101 games under 500.

Now, despite rumors circulating that he was going to be fired last week,

Grifall remains in charge, but for how long?
