gardener dot com forward slash epic so Joe I think a question that I've gotten quite a bit, especially as we move into the new season right and we talk about buying buying buying more seeds is almost all of us are going to have a surplus at the end of the season and then the question you

get is can I can I use these again if so how long and how do I store them and all the

topics that surround that so I'm curious if that's the question you get a lot as well it's a

the question you get a lot as well.

It's a question I get all the time and it's a question I deal with myself.

Like you just said, at the end of this growing season I have all these

leftover seeds and I start a lot of seeds too so I think my problem

is in how many I buy at the beginning of the season with that ambition that we all have.

So yeah so at the end I think people will be very pleased to know that seeds will last a lot longer than I think maybe the sellers of seeds might want you to think now to to their credit for sure you get your best performance with

fresh seed there's no doubt about that they're going to germinate faster they're

going to be more vigorous they're going to be healthier through the process and

they won't have gone through any

potential stresses of improper storage.

But it's very simple to store seeds if you just keep a few things in mind and what you're trying

to do is keep them cool and dry.

And so there's a rule of thumb that I heard one time that I really liked and it's easy to remember,
