This message was paid for by McMillan Cancer Support. So on Tuesday around 3.30 p.m. reports of some sort of security incident all over Lebanon started trickling in.

At first people were confused what was happening.

There were pictures of people lying on the ground with small wounds with blood coming out. Will Chris do is a journalist covering Lebanon for the Guardian.

But then videos started coming out of people going about their

business shopping in a vegetable market when all of a sudden there's an

explosion. Seemingly out of nowhere and more and more videos of this come pouring out.

Then warnings come out. People telling others to throw their cell phones away,

that maybe the cell phones are being hacked and they can explode.

Hundreds of Hezbollah fighters have been injured by their communication devices exploding

across Lebanon in what's been described as an unprecedented hostile act.

And then slowly we start to get an accurate picture of what happened.

Hundreds if not thousands of pages used by the Lebanese Shia militia Hezbollah exploded simultaneously all over Lebanon.

And you know these explosions, while they mainly targeted members of Hezbollah, didn't happen in a vacuum.

People were sitting next to others, maybe in a bus, a taxi,

standing next to them at the market when these explosions happened.
