Newscasters, it's Laura and just after we left the studio,

there were rumors swirling about what was going to happen with the

Downing Street Chief of Staff you know the one so great we've talked about her a lot in

the last few weeks anyway what we didn't realize this morning, although there were rumors about it, was that actually, not long after one o'clock, suddenly it would be confirmed that she has left her job.

She's going off to be the envoy to the nations and regions, but this is a big deal.

She'll be replaced by Morgan McSweeny, who's being, was head of the election campaign and Kieur Starmer's long time political

ally but it is extraordinary that less than a hundred days into a new government the

chief of staff has already had to move.

Even if you go back to the Labour conference, there were people close the year starmer who were telling me it was unsustainable

and she couldn't stay on. But still, for just a couple of weeks later her to be out on our oar from the top job.

Well that is a very big deal indeed.

And I just wonder also, remember last week we heard from Rosie Duffield who said lots of women

MPs were worried about the control of the lads around Kirstamer bringing Morgan McSwiri in over to do gray might not make them feel better than that.

Anyway that's an update on all the shenanigans in Downing Street, but on this Sunday's

episode of newscast we spend most of the time talking about the Middle East.

It's the anniversary of the terrible attacks on October 7th tomorrow, and this morning,

me and Paddy and plenty of other people across the BBC spent a lot of time focusing on that.
