We're chugging along towards the national championship game on Monday, Ohio State against Alabama.

Another day full of interviews, like really full, like starting at 11 a.m. you're on the phone with Nick Sabon all the way up until like

5.30 p.m. you're on the phone with who'd we get last today Josh Myers? Oh Kevin

Wilson so it was like we really ran the gamut today of just like it was a long day of talking football and a fun day at talking football. I thought we got some really interesting answers on the Ohio State side of things about just some colorful things getting some

background on some guys and some things for the future. We're going to talk about that

later in the podcast. We want to start with what I think are the most urgent things that people are trying to find out about which is what's the status of Ohio State's roster what's the status of Ohio State's quarterback.

So we'll go with the big subject first.

Ryan Day was obviously asked about where things stand. He was

specifically asked how many players do you have available. He said he didn't know

the answer, but did say we'll have plenty of players to play on Monday.

So this narrative is kind of, I know you hate that word, Doug, but this storyline is kind of hung out there all

week of what is Ohio State's situation? Is it bad enough that it's going to potentially postpone this game? I'm starting to think that that might be I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it this could be as early as tomorrow. We might be done worrying about that because Ohio State told me

that their last day to test was going to either be Friday or Saturday.

I heard today that it might actually be Friday.

Once they get to that threshold,

and as long as there's not another big spike, I think're good for Monday and I think they're playing this game Monday if I had to predict right now I would say they're playing this game Monday and Ryan Day if Stephen you were there you could tell on his face was not enthused about having to answer these questions.
