Pastor Adriel, my question is, what is a difference between apostasy and backsliding?

Dan, thank you for that question.

So, apostasy in the scriptures in the New Testament in particular,

oftentimes is associated with departing from the faith altogether, a rejection of Jesus Christ.

I think one place that gives us a picture, well, there are a number of places,

but one place that gives us a picture of apostasy is what the author of the Hebrew says in

Hebrews chapter 10. Because there he's talking about a specific kind of sinning that some

of these people there in the Hebrew congregation were in danger of participating in. He says in Hebrews
