So happy to have you here where I'm helping you with your jazz playing, answering your jazz and music-related questions five days a week. Today we have a really good question coming from O'Kecchi. jazz? And of course, we'll answer the question, do you need to be able to read music to learn

how to play jazz? Well, let's back up a little bit. There's kind of a few different ways that

people learn music in general, right?

For some of us, we may have started out actually learning to play our instrument by reading

music. The greatest example of this is, you know, someone taking piano as a young child,

and usually in that process at some point, there is a method book put in front of you where
