According to the National Center for Education Statistics, enrollment in

vocational and trade schools has seen record growth over the past two decades.

Our classes are packed out right now.

The switch from college to trade school is amazing. So that was

the first time in my whole life that I went to school and I was like I'm good at

this. A Georgetown study finds a growing number of people without degrees

starting to out-earned college grads.

I spent six years building a marketing career and I enrolled myself to a trade school that has

nothing to do with a career that I have built.

Economists expect trades people will have no trouble finding work for years to come.

A lot of people thought of any trade like plumbers, electricians, welder's so on work,

those are the dirty jobs, those are the jobs where they couldn't afford to go to

college, so they had to do this instead. Now that is definitely starting to change. Oh, It's Notes from America. I'm Kai Wright. Welcome to the show. I want to begin this week by introducing you to a public school teacher, actually a former
