This is my first episode that I've ever recorded

being 27 years old. My birthday was last Wednesday and expectations are not

something I like to have in any sector of my life ever because if you keep your expectations low or don't have any to begin with you're always grateful and pleasantly surprised and I think birthday is regardless of how hard you try,

there's always going to be an expectation.

Because it's your day, you know?

That's the day that you entered life. You've been on earth since that day and there's an anniversary for it each

and every year and it's gonna make you think about yourself and your life each

and every time and if it's not a good day it hits harder than it

would on just any random day. So what I've done for the past several years is

taking some sort of trip. I've done beach trips, ski trips, went to a rodeo. This year I wanted

to go to Mexico. I wanted to go to Mexico City or Cabo and my passport is expired. It needs to be renewed, and suddenly I was left to come up with a new idea.

And I don't love a birthday dinner. They work some of the time, but more often than not not I feel like birthday dinners are not fun

so I didn't want to do that feels like the go-to but it wasn't going to be something that I was

looking forward to I decided why don't I host something at my house.

Tyra and I have made such a wonderful inviting home for ourselves

and I really love it. I love where I live and I love who I live with and I just love the energy of my home.

Why don't I host something there? So I sent out invitations and the birthday celebration actually began the Thursday before

last Wednesday. I've noticed that because my birthday fell on a Wednesday

it got celebrated twice

the weekend before and the weekend after really long
