I'm your host Jeff Buck, and today is a How I Got Here version of the podcast with Holly Kane,

the longtime racing journalist who is now with the NASCAR Wire Service.

I've known Holly for a long time and seen

her go through a recent battle with breast cancer and really appreciate her perspective on

life in the world as well as the NASCAR journalism and the beat. So I wanted to be able to sit down

with her and ask her about both those things.

So we will dive into her career story as well as some of the perspective she's gained

through her battle.

So without further ado,

let's hear how Holly Kane got to where she is today.

I'm here with my dear friend Holly Kane.

Holly, I'm so appreciative that you agreed to do this. And I'm thinking that out of all the time that we've spoken over the years,

I don't really know if I know like the whole story of your career path. So I'm excited to find out.

So thank you for doing this. Well, thank you for having me. I genuinely feel

honored to be a part of this, Jeff. Oh, wow. I love, I love listening to these. So,

oh, cool. That's awesome. Well, you know the format a little bit. So I'll start by asking you what you do now,

what your job entails right now. So now I am a writer for the NASCAR wire service. I work

out of their Daytona Beach office and I help do all of the previews that go out on the wire for

all of the cup races and to a certain extent the statistical previews for the Exfinity and also the Camping World
