Is it me or is this year just absolutely flying by? Last day of August everybody. Can you believe that? I

think so right. Let me make sure. Oh no there's one more day.

Guys it turns out the year's not going by as fast as what I thought it was.

We still got one more day in August after today.

Tori is looking at me through the window.

She can hear me.

She's currently carrying Noah as he's snoozing and Mike is up taking his nap.

Yep okay here we are folks how are you doing because that's how I'm doing. We're almost done with August. I do feel like

someone turned up the dial where the time is just flying by. Maybe it's just me though.

Anyways, I'm going to go and pick in with, I'm going to pick up with the devotional.

It says this, it is a statement of complete assurance and confidence, spoken by a man whose pride had just been smashed.

Nebuchadnezzar, or as I say, Nebuchadnezzar, was the arrogant king of the conquering

nation of Babylon. He not only had devastated Judah and taken its people as his captive servants, but he had taken implements from the temple to be used as tools of idle worship, which he commanded everyone in his kingdom to render or they would face death.

The extent of his pride is captured by these words in Daniel chapter 4 verse 30.

Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power

as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty? But while the words were still in his mouth,

he was dramatically humiliated by the one who alone has true glory and majesty.

was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox,

and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles feathers and his nails were like birds claws
