So we decided to do that again and talk about my postpartum experience.

Postpartum, as I know, because I've been through it twice now can sometimes throw you for a loop.

It's hard. It's very very hard and we talk about that in this episode and I'm sure we're going to talk about it in part two as well.

So this is something that I talk about in my course and that I've talked about and we prepare for pregnancy and we take birth courses

to prepare for labor and birth. I personally experienced this the first go-round

with Walter that labor was super hard and I knew that I had to prepare for that but

nobody really told me exactly how hard postpartum was and how to prepare for that. I thought I knew what I was doing because I'm a leave my delivery nurse and you know, you think you kind of know what you're getting into

because I take care of patients you know in the first couple of hours postpartum so I'm like I know what to

expect but it was pretty hard. And it wasn't certainly quite as hard this go-round, but it, you know, still absolutely some challenges. The emotions, you know, the lack of sleep, the body changes, especially if it's your first baby, your normal becomes very, very different and that can be very, very hard for people.

Personally, with Walter, with my first, I was not ready for the complete slap in the face
